ASD7 is created in a completely graphical environment, which includes convenient, automatic unit conversion.  The interface also includes quick access to dynamic plots and reports. An expandable springs materials database provides a profile system for saving and incorporating frequently used input data sets, as well as exportable DXF compression springs drawings.

This spring design calculator allows for the input of specifications to find spring rates and loads. Springs designs can also reverse engineered for any variable of interest. Cylindrical and conical springs can be combined in series (stacked or continuous) and in parallel (nested).

ASD7 also catches and alerts designers about potential design flaws such as settling or buckling, and also provides SMI acceptable tolerances and calculates maximum safe loads.
